Thai yoga massage

Thai yoga massage is an ancient bodywork developed to work on human energy lines (called Sen Sib in Thai) by the monks in Thai buddhist temples thousand years ago. Thai massage in general (Folk style) is composed of various pressing techniques using thumbs, fingers, hands, heels of hands, elbow, arms, knees and feet and some special body strectches.

Benefits of Thai yoga massage

Thai massage application by using direct pressure on muscle along most part of the body in combination with body stretching to further stimulate five major physiological body systems including circulation system, musculoskeletal system, nervous system, respiratory system and digestive system. Furthermore, Thai massage also provides the benefits to the receiver's mind including stress-relief, relaxation, release of the emotional traumas etc. In terms of spiritual aspect, Thai massage based on the elements of life (chakras in yoga) and Sen Sib (energy lines) can trigger the energy flows thru these 2 energy systems when a massage occurs. Then,  A sacred harmonious union will form between the giver and receiver and bring both towards to a tranquil meditative state.

Thai foot masasge (Reflexology)

JM Massage Studio 9 also offers Thai Foot Massage or so called reflexology. Reflexology originates from an ancient Chinese system and is based on the notion that there are nerve endings in the soles of the feet that correspond to all of the organs of the body such as the liver, kidney, spleen etc. The gentle and repetitive  massage of these pressure points stimulates and detoxifies the internal organs and improves circulation to the problem area.

Foot massage begins with a warm-up sequence, which is performed with the fingers and hands. Next, a small wooden dowel dipped in massage oil is applied to press each of the reflexology points on the both sides and soles of the feet as well as the energy lines (Sen Sib) of the lower leg. Then, the massage is ended with a relaxing footbath.
